These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of DuGallan.com (the "Site") and your purchase of digital books, bundles, subscriptions and companion publications (the "Products") from DuGallan Publishing. By using the Site or purchasing a Product, you agree to these Terms.
DuGallan Publishing is the trading name of SASMiNT (PTY) LTD, Registration No. 2022/352439/07, a company registered in South Africa, operating the Site at https://dugallan.com. You can contact us at doug@dugallan.com or on +27 (0)86 112 2786.
We sell digital books and related digital publications. Products are delivered electronically — there are no physical shipments. Single purchases and bundles provide ongoing online access to the purchased title(s). Subscriptions (Trail Follower monthly and Deep Trail annual) provide access to the catalogue for as long as the subscription remains active.
Prices are displayed on the Site and at checkout. Payments are processed securely by Dodo Payments, our merchant of record, who handles payment processing, currency conversion, and applicable tax compliance. Dodo Payments’ buyer terms apply in addition to these Terms. Applicable taxes, where required, are calculated and applied at checkout. You must be 18 years or older to make a purchase.
Access to purchased Products is provided immediately after successful payment. If you do not receive access, contact us at the support details below and we will resolve it promptly. Access details are personal to you and may not be shared, resold or made available to others.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly for Trail Follower, annually for Deep Trail) until cancelled. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and you retain access until then. Refunds for subscriptions are handled in accordance with our Refund Policy.
All Products and all content on the Site — including text, stories, characters, artwork and design — are the intellectual property of DuGallan Publishing and are protected by copyright. Your purchase grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to read and enjoy the Products for private, non-commercial use. You may not copy, distribute, publish, resell, adapt or create derivative works from any Product without our prior written consent.
Our refund terms are set out in full in our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
You agree not to misuse the Site, attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of it, or use it in any way that infringes the rights of others or breaches applicable law.
The Products are works of fiction inspired by family history and are provided for entertainment. The Site and Products are provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from any purchase is limited to the amount you paid for the Product concerned. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 or other applicable South African consumer law.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version published on this page applies, and the effective date above will be updated whenever changes are made. Material changes affecting active subscriptions will be communicated by email.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and the South African courts have jurisdiction over any dispute, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections that apply in your country of residence.
